In the 40 years since Epilim has been on the market its estimated around 43,000 people have been affected by Sodium Valproate (Epilim). There are 9 OTHER medications on the market still being prescribed that will affect children when they are born. Theses medications being taken for:

Mood Swings

Lets educate ladies about this condition, so that they know BEFORE they get pregnant the effects taking these medications will have, and then can make an informed choice.

  1. I have taken epilim since it came out, my son was unaffected, but my daughter who is 25 has various problems all the time and I feel so guilty about it

    • It really is awful, the fact that warnings are not given is so bad especially in todays era. Yes there are general warnings ie headaches etc but there never was before. Even still the warnings are not to the degree us as a Charity and now a Trust have the medical advice ie Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Speech Delay, Incontinence, Athsma.

      • Thanks for that, I have had to fight for my daughter all her life, she had global learning problems speech problems, born with half a hip socket which caused her foot to turn in, this was put right by ballet lessons, clicky joints and things like constant tonillieutsshe still has problems understanding things like money matters
